Best Float and Best Dressed House

Categories and Judging

Both profit and non-profit entries are judged on a number of criteria to determine first and second place. 

Floats/entries will be given a total score out of 25, with a possible 5 points each for:

Sound / Music Lighting Presentation / Effort Imagination / Theme Appeal / Wow!!

Rather than award cash prizes, donations are made on the prize winners’ behalf to a charitable organization. Additionally, to encourage further community spirit, houses along the route compete for a ‘best dressed’ house award, judged on lighting and festive displays. All “prize” donations are made to a local charity of the committee’s choice.

Prizes are awarded in the following categories:

• Best Float - Corporate (1st and 2nd place)
• Best Float - Non-Profit (1st and 2nd place)
• Best Decorated House (on the parade route)
